and mortality associated with stage 4 CKD
- Recognize the important
role of phosphate binders in the continuum of care of patients with
CKD

pathogenesis of cardiovascular calcification (CVC) in patients with
CKD
- Identify those at greater
risk for developing CVC to implement appropriate interventions
Method of Participation:
This activity
is an on-demand presentation available in two formats. Participants
can choose between a CD-Rom and a virtual Web cast, which can be accessed

and proteinuria
- Review the relations between
urine protein excretion, cardiovascular risk and CKD
- Review the therapeutic
approaches to hypertension and proteinuria in CKD
- Develop a conceptual framework
for stopping the progression of CKD and treatment goals for hypertension
and proteinuria
Method of Participation:
This Webcast can be accessed online at www.kidney.org/cme.
Participants are able to view a self-directed slide presentation with
accompanying audio. At the conclusion of this activity, participants
